About Us
About Black Sheep Recovery
Black Sheep Recovery was created for the people who never felt like they fit the mold.
The ones who have struggled, relapsed, lost things, rebuilt, and are still trying to figure it out one day at a time.
This isn’t about perfect recovery.
This is about real healing.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide honest, accessible healing resources for individuals navigating addiction, trauma, and personal rebuilding.
Through books, workbooks, and community, we create space for people to process their past, understand themselves, and move forward—without shame.
Because healing doesn’t happen all at once.
It happens in small, honest steps.
Our Story
Black Sheep Recovery was founded by Ashley Kay Meeks after experiencing addiction, loss, and the long road of rebuilding firsthand.
What started as personal healing turned into something bigger.
A way to create the tools that were needed during the hardest moments—
the kind that don’t sugarcoat the truth, but also don’t leave you stuck in it.
These books were created from lived experience, not just theory.
Because sometimes the most powerful guidance comes from someone who’s actually been there.
What We Offer

- Resources for individuals and families impacted by addiction

- Community-driven support through shared experiences
Everything created through Black Sheep Recovery is designed with one goal:
👉 to help you keep going
The Bigger Vision
Black Sheep Recovery is also building toward something greater.
The Black Sheep Recovery Foundation exists to expand access to healing resources and create long-term support systems—including future initiatives like the Butterfly House, a safe space for women and children rebuilding their lives.
Because recovery isn’t just about getting clean.
It’s about creating a life worth staying clean for.
You are not broken.
You are rebuilding.
And you don’t have to do it alone.
